Reed on CBSSports.com list of great freshman

BINGHAMTON -- CBSSports.com has Freshman of the Year rankings every week, and on it this week ... BU's Jordan Reed.

Reed, who leads the America East in points and rebounds per game, is listed on The Others of Note section behind five players from powerhouse programs like Kentucky, Oklahoma State and Arizona State.
   
And it shouldnt be a surprise, because Reed has wowed the fans of late. The freshman even did so Monday night against Monmouth despite spending most of the evening in foul trouble.

Head Coach Tommy Dempsey decided stick with Reed, because he says his aggressive style is what makes him a potential star.

"I thought he put on a show, in a way, (even) in a loss. He's got to play that way. That's how he plays, that's who he is. I'd be crazy to limit that kid's aggressiveness right now, says Dempsey.

I got to let him play, and got to let those guys play. If we're in a little bit of foul trouble then that's a problem, but if we don't play hard, then that's a problem too."
