COAT DRIVE

A new clothing drive aims to serve thousands of children in the area.
The "Coats and Clothes 4 Kids"  program is kicking off, with collections at seven area school districts, including Johnson City, Union Endicott, and Windsor.

The Save-More furniture store in Owego is organizing the drive.

It has also run the "Beds 4 Kids"  program since 2006, providing 32,000 beds to families.

The group has bought three trucks and is building 50 storage sheds to help in this year-round effort.
