Preliminary Hearing for Susquehanna County Cold Case

A Susquehanna County cold case will head to trial. A tentative date of December fourth was set Wednesday in the murder trial of fifty-two-year-old John Walker.

Walker is accused of killing his estranged spouse, Lynda Walker, in New Milford Township on November 12th 1983.

At the time of his wife's death, Walker was a police officer in Great Bend, Pennsylvania, and was a part-time police officer in Silver Lake at the time of his arrest.

Lynda Walker's death was originally ruled a suicide.
