Copper Plumbing Thefts in Vestal

VESTAL -- As if flood victims in Vestal don't have enough to cope with in trying to rebuild damaged homes, now they have to worry about thieves breaking in and stealing copper plumbing. 

Police say there's been an increase in such thefts lately especially in the Twin Orchards section of town.

Typically a window is pried open, allowing the thieves to go into basements where old and sometimes brand new copper plumbing is removed.
