The Great American Smokeout

Thursday was the American Cancer Society's 37th annual "Great American Smokeout."
 
According to Tobacco Free Broome and Tioga....tobacco remains the single largest preventable cause of disease and premature death in the U.S.

That's one reason Eric Emerick shared his story on how he quit smoking nearly 10 years ago.

"You have to become stronger than the cigarette.  You have to want to do it for your health purposes, family reasons, and you have to want to do it for yourself and others," said Emerick.
 
But,  why is it so hard to be stronger than the cigarette?
