Fire at Abandoned Conklin Home

An abandoned home on Conklin Avenue in Conklin was heavily damaged by fire Friday evening--
 
Flames were shooting out of the back of the structure around 6:30PM.

It didn't appear that anyone was inside the home at the time, and there are no known injuries.

The house, in the 800 block of Conklin Avenue had apparantly been uninhabited since the 2006 flood.

Eight fire trucks from four departments responded to the call.
