Vestal Businessman Faces Tax Fraud Charges

The taxman says a Vestal businessman owes close to a hundred thousand dollars in sales tax.

46 year old Christopher Deprospo owns Amish Woodworks, on Old Vestal Road.

New York's Department of Taxation says Deprospo collected-but failed to remit to the state more than 90-thousand dollars in sales taxes from September of 2006 through August of 2009.

He's also accused of under reporting the amount he collected. If convicted on tax fraud charges, he faces 5-15 years in state prison.
