Tarik Abdelazim Casts His Vote for Broome County Executive

Preston's challenger, Democratic candidate for Broome County Executive Tarik Abdelazim told us he was excited as he cast his vote Tuesday at St. John's and Andrew's Parish in Binghamton.

Abdelazim showed up with his family, including one-year-old son, and told us that he is happy that election day has finally arrived.  He said he feels that his team made a very difficult race against Preston extremely competitive. 

"Just excitement. I'm just really proud of the way we ran this campaign. And however it turns out, I think we can hold our heads up high, that we pushed really aggressively and made a very difficult race extremely competitive and now we'll just see what happens with the voters," said Abdelazim.

Tarik spent the rest of the day working to get out the vote.
