Still more heated comment in Vestal Thursday night, concerning hydrofracking--
Both pro and anti-fracking groups turned out again to argue why the town should or should not allow fracking in the town--
But there was also comment on the town's plans to purchase two more tasers for the police department--
We asked Town Supervisor John Schaffer about concerns that tasers can harm and even kill those they are used on. Schaffer says he thinks propert training is the key, and also feels that all police officers should carry tasers.
And in terms the town's budget which initially projected a 9.6 percent tax hike, Schaffer says they are making progess in trimming it--but he continues to complain that it's difficult, because of the county's current formula for sharing sales tax revenues with municipalities.
