Young Democrats Meet the Candidates

The Broome County Democrats hosted a "Meet the Candidates" event Tuesday night at the Broome County Democratic Headquarters.

Democratic candidates for office have been invited to come speak at the event, about their visions for the future, as well as issues that affect the youth of the area.

President of the Broome County Democrats, Ryan Reynolds said it's important for young voters to take an interest in local government.

"Issues we want to hear about is jobs.  We want to retain our young people here in Broome County.  Cost of living, things like taxes, education funding with BCC and BU right here.  It's a whole wide variety of issues that affect us as young people," said Reynolds.

Democratic candidates from across the area for different positions like State Senate and County Legislature came out to address the Young Democrats.
