Preston Update on Welfare Busts

Broome County Executive Debbie Preston is issuing another warning to welfare cheats-- if you're going to abuse the system, you're going to get caught.
 
And Preston says the county has caught 29 more cheats --and charged them with welfare fraud.  --saving the county 65-thousand dollars in welfare expenses.

"It's just sad that people would even attempt to do these things...even when they know we're watching...if you do it, we're going to catch you, and you're going to court," said Preston.
 
The latest annoucment of welfare fraud busts follows several others announced over the past several months.

Preston says she's surprised that cheats haven't heeded the warnings.
