Pennsylvania's longest serving Senator Arlen Specter was laid to rest on Tuesday after passing away from complications of non-hodgkin lymphoma.
The funeral was at a temple in Penn Valley, PA followed by burial in Huntingdon Valley.
Vice President Joe Biden was among the mourners along with former Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell.
Specter, a Moderate Republican, who ran as a Democrat in a failed attempt for a final term, is also remembered as the member of the Warren Commission.
He came up with the single bullet theory, which concluded that one of the bullets fired by Lee Harvey Oswald hit both President Kennedy and Texas Governor Connolly .
