Waverly Pep Rally

The Waverly School District says its holding meetings with administrators, adviser and students, following reports of a racially insensitive skit held at a pep rally last weekend:

The incident was described in a report, posted by a Waverly High School graduate on a CNN website .

The report says three white students in black-face pretended to be singer Rhianna and her former boyfriend, Chris Brown and another man restraining the couple.

It was apparently a spoof on a domestic violence incident that got a lot of publicity several years ago.

The Waverly Superintendent said in a statement to Fox 40 that he will meet with students and administrators, "to set clear expectations for our behavior and the impact it has on all people."
