B-Sens setting the tone for the season
10/14/2012 (Updated 10:29:17 PM)
Another thing Binghamton had going in its opening-night win was plenty of physical play.
One of the major contributors to that physical play was defenseman Mark Borowiecki. Borowiecki got into a fight in the second period against the Penguins, which seemed to kick start the offense for Binghamton.
Afterwards, both his fellow B-Sens and coaches took notice.
"I would pay attention if he's on the ice, that's for sure," said Luke Richardson, the B-Sens head coach. "He's a dangerous guy to the opponent, and in a smaller building like this he's a good skater too, so he can close the gap very quickly."
"He's very tough and he's very strong and he won't back down," said goalie Robin Lehner. "He's a good fighter, and he plays very solid good 'd' and will hit you in the corner. He's a nice guy to have on the team."
The B-Sens hit the road Tuesday for their first away game of the season before returning home Friday night.
