Students Become Scientists For The Day
10/13/2012 (Updated 10:12:15 PM)
Well on Saturday kids part of Broome County's 4-H joined millions of other children across the nation to become scientists for the day during the fifth annual 4-H national youth science day. The challenge was to create a motorized tooth brush head that can successfully clean a mocked oil spill on the beach.
"Technology is always changing so instead of sticking with the agricultural base you want to reach out to a broader area and incorporate technology into it. So little robots are a nice thing to build." said Joshua Wayman of the Tech Wizards Program.
If would like to know about how to get involved in 4-h, you can join them at an open house on Sunday from 1 p.m to 3 p.m. at the Cornell Cooperative Extension on Upper Front Street in Binghamton.
