Second Degree Assault Charges

An Endicott man already in Broome County Jail is once again in trouble with the law.

30-year-old Jason Wheeler was serving a sentence for burglary and arson when he was being transferred last week to a special housing unit in the jail because of rules violations.

When he was being transferred police say Wheeler punched an officer in the face.

Wheeler now faces one count of Assault in the Second degree, a felony.
