Competition For Best Wings In Town
9/29/2012 (Updated 10:22:39 PM)Just about everyone enjoys a good chicken wing. On Saturday at Traditions at the Glen in Johnson City the competition was on for boasting rights to the best wings in town.
Several restaurants from the Southern Tier were invited to compete for the title of "King of Wings."
The wing tasters had an opportunity to cast their vote and the winner received 500 hundred dollars of advertising from Equinox. There was also a wing eating contest to take part in as well as plenty of live music.
"People are loving it. They're enjoying the wings. They get to vote for their favorite restaurant that has the best wings and its a great fundraiser. All the money at the door goes to the charities." said Joyce Knapik, General Sales Manager for Equinox Broadcasting.
The admission fee was 15 dollars and benefits the Bundy Museum, the Tech Museum and the Southern Tier Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
