Suspect in Slaying of Former Principal Caught

After a nation-wide search, the sought-after Virginia man for the death of former area school principal Keith Reed has been captured.

Authorities say that Anthony Robert "Rob" Taglianetti was taken into custody Friday afternoon without incident.

He is wanted in the fatal shooting of Reed, whose body was discovered Monday a short distance from his home in Clymer, N.Y.

Taglianetti's vehicle was spotted by a police officer around 4pm Friday, near Shenandoah National Park.

Keith Reed was well known in Chenango County, where he was a High School Principal until he moved away to take a Superintendent's job.

On Thursday night hundreds of people remembered him during a candlelight vigil at Sherburne-Earlville High School.
