A Meal in a Jail Cell: And you don't have to be Arrested

Ever have a meal in jail?

If you've always wanted to, you can-- in Owego--without even being arrested:
 
Just go to the  Calaboose Grille--with or without a police escort.

It had a grand opening Wednesday-- for those who were more interested in breaking in, than breaking out:

The building is located at 176 Main street in Owego, which is located inside the historic Tioga County Jail Building.

A lot of the  interior was left intact--  including a jail cell that can be your dining room:

"People outside of this community need to know that Owego is thriving and surviving and by opening a new business, not reopening a business, but opening a new business I think tells everybody else that, hey,  there are people with faith in Owego," said Clark Hepwork, the co-owner of Calaboose Grille.
 
The owner also says that the jail appeals to both kids and adults.
