Former Chenango County Principal Shot and Killed in WNY
9/25/2012 (Updated 11:06:22 PM)
Keith Reed, Jr. was in charge of the Sherburne-Earlville High School for six years until he left the area to become a superintendent.
But, that ended in tragedy when the 51-year old was found dead Monday morning by a sheriff's deputy near his home in Clymer, NY.
On Tuesday, officials completed an autopsy and found he died from multiple gun shot wounds.
Investigators said that Reed, who lived alone, was reported missing Sunday night.
Police have no suspect in custody, but have ruled his death a homicide.
Students have organized a candle light procession in Reed's honor.
It is scheduled for Wednesday night at 7:30 at the Sherburne-Earlville Central School.
The procession will start at the auditorium in the school. The walk will go to the main entrance where there will be a memorial service at that time.
Members of the community describe Reed as an amazing man, friend and role model.
