Local Dog Shelter Receives Financial Help

A local dog shelter is happy to get a leg up financially as they receive a $1,000 check from Petco.

"Every Dog's Dream Rescue" is located in Greene and was voted in by friends and partners of Petco to receive the $1000 dollar thank you grant.

Audrey Woerter, the owner of the shelter, says that just buying dog food can cost a thousand dollars a month, and this is a huge help.

"It's very difficult a lot of people give but it's hard to keep asking people to give when they're trying to take care of their own families. The fact that the Petco Foundation was gracious enough to give us a $1,000 dollar check today was incredible," said Audrey Woerter the owner of Every Dog's Rescue.

Every Dog's Dream Rescue was started up in a two car garage in Greene and now houses twenty to twenty five dogs.
