Oktoberfest Raises Fun, Funds for A Room to Heal

No Mayor Bloomberg in the Southern Tier Friday night, to tell you what to drink and eat at Oktoberfest:

The  non-profit organization "A Room to Heal" hosted a Bavarian Festival at Traditions-at-theGlen.

It was a colorful celebration of Bavarian culture --complete with food, drinks, and music. all the proceeds of the fundraiser will be going towards, "A Room to Heal," which creates serene environments for children with serious illnesses.

"We're hoping to raise significant amount of money so that we can create a couple more rooms this year. We have stein contest, we have the best Oktoberfest outfits and then we also have raffle tickets," said Laurie Abess, the president of the organization.

Now, if you missed out on Friday night's fun, you still have the opportunity to donate and sponser a child's room by visiting the www.aroomtoheal.org.
