Rain Dosen't Damper Downtown Student Kickoff
9/8/2012 (Updated 11:57:55 PM)
The "Downtown Student Kick-Off" in the Parlor City Commons welcomed students to the area with free food and free samples of products from 40 local stores and service providers.
There was even live music and a fashion show. The event was co-hosted by the Binghamton Economic Development Office and a local start up business called Communikey.
The aim is to get students involved downtown, and in the community.
The event was moved inside due to the rain, and hundreds of students kept coming despite the bad weather.
