Most Storm Damage Skirts the Tier
9/8/2012 (Updated 11:24:48 PM)Skies were calm Saturday evening, but a tornado watch was issued during the afternoon for Broome County residents, who experienced heavy rain and winds.
The tornado warning was later lifted, but there were scattered power outages
However by 10:15PM. NYSEG was reporting power had been restored to all customers in Broome County, and only a handful of customers remained without electricity in Tioga county.
But even while sheets of rain were still falling, it did not stop a lot of people Fox 40 ran into from going where they said they had to go.
Yet, even those who were putting on a brave front, admitted that considering what happened last year at this time-- they did have some concerns it might happen again.
