Alan Outman Pleads Guilty to First Degree Murder
9/5/2012 (Updated 7:07:13 PM)
Wednesday 23-year-old Alan Outman pleaded guilty to First Degree Murder.
His victim was 21-year-old David Fillers, of Dickinson.
Fillers was sexually abused by Outman, before he was killed. We went to Boland Road Wednesday, to the neighborhood where Fillers live.
His mother told us that she was not ready to speak with the media, just yet, but we did interview several neighbors who knew David Fillers, and his mother.
"He was a nice kid. They were a nice family. She brought up the four boys herself, put herself through school, went back to school to be a teacher. So you can give her a lot of credit to bring four boys up as a single parent. She did a great job," said Heather Burns a neighbor to the Fillers.
Outman who originally pleaded not guilty, will be sentenced in November to a state prison term of 25 Years to Life.
Before the murder, both Outman and Fillers were acquaintances at Chenango Valley High School.
Fillers' body was found in a creek bed behind the Quality Inn in Vestal, following a New Year's celebration.
