Julie Lewis Announces Job Plan
8/28/2012 (Updated 11:07:47 PM)
In November Lewis will run against Asemblywoman Donna Lupardo.
Lewis says she would repeal regulation, provide tax incentives for small business, and reform workers' compensation.
Lewis also criticized Lupardo's failing grade from the business council of New York State, and her rating from pro-business lobby Unshackle Upstate.
"She has voted for a lot of regulations that have hurt businesses. And me as a small business owner I wouldn't support that kind of legislature. So I think there's a lot of ways we can look at repealing things and arduous regulations that just adds cost to small business," said Julie Lewis.
Lupardo says Unshackle actually gave he the sixth-best among Democrats.
And that the group penalized her for supporting of increasing the minimum wage and fair pay for women, two issues she says the working people of her district overwhelmingly support.
