Young Adult Running for Broome County Legislature

He's still in college but he's looking to graduate into the Broome County Legislature.

21-year-old Christopher Del Bianco announced he is running as a Republican in District 8, which represents Endwell.

He'll face incumbent Republican John Black in September's primary.

Del Bianco is a life-long resident of the district an M-E high school graduate, and is entering his final year at B.U.

He says he plans to live in the district for quite a long time and wants to have a say on the issues that will affect the county.

"If they're worried about the experience factor or anything like that I have a very strong entrepreneurial spirit. I believe if you put your mind to something you want to do you can learn as you go and get really good. That way where do you get your experience as a legislator? you do it," said Christopher Del Bianco.

The winner of the primary between Del Bianco and Black will face Democrat Vince Pasquale in the general election.

Del Bianco says he was voted most likely to be president by his class at Maine-Endwell.
