UFC 151 canceled; Jones will fight Machida Sept. 22nd

VESTAL -- Even though Jon "Bones" Jones is loved around these parts, after today he just might be public enemy number one with Dana White and the UFC fan base.

Today during a surprise UFC conference call, UFC President White announced that the UFC151 PPV is canceled due to Jones' opponent, Dan Henderson, injuring his knee.

According to White, Lyoto Machida was offered the fight on short notice, but turned it down. Chael Sonnen, who's new to the 205 division, accepted the fight, but then the fight was turned down by Jones - allegedly on the advice from his coach Greg Jackson.

"How much faith do you have in you're champion, you're guy. Now I literally just ran into Greg Jackson the other day - I'll tell you what - I'll go on the record saying this guy is a (expletive) sport-killer, says White.

This guy is from another planet. I've never seen anything like it in my life. I always laugh when I hear fighters say 'I'm a business man.' No you're not, you're a fighter."

This is the first UFC PPV cancellation under the ownership of Zuffa.

As for Bones, he will now fight three weeks later in Toronto against Machida, in what is now dubbed UFC151.
