Chris Thater Race is this Weekend

More than 30 years ago, Chris Thater was killed by a drunk driver...
 
And this weekend he will once again be remembered  at the Chris Thater Memorial Races.

The events at Rec Park kick off Saturday, and continue through the weekend.

Along with the bike races, there is also a 5K foot race Sunday morning.

There is also a music festival.

20 bands are scheduled to play throughout the two days.

Organizers say it's a once-a-year opportunity
