The former postmaster of the North Norwich post office has admitted to swiping more than 7-thousand dollars, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office of the Northern District of New York.
In return for his guilty plea, 65-year-old James Ives gets:
-- a year of probation....
-- 50 hours of community service....
--and a thousand dollar fine.
The money was taken from the post office between 2008 and 2011.
