Body Found in Upper Lisle Park

Another apparent drowning in a local park,  this time it was at Upper Lisle Park in the Town of Triangle.
   
It happened around 1:30 this afternoon.  The victim is 45 year old John Rafferty of 393 Landers Corners Road in Willet.

Police say Rafferty was swimming with his family where the river meets the reservoir and he went under for some reason. Foul play is not suspected.

His body was located and recovered around 3:30 this afternoon.

Several agencies including the Broome County Dive Team were involved in the search and recovery.
