Gas Prices on the Rise

Are you searching through your couch cushions to pay for gas? You're not alone.

According to www.gasbuddy.com, in the last month, gas prices  in New York have gone up nearly twenty five cents per gallon.

Monday on the south side of Binghamton we saw prices over three dollars and 90 cents for a gallon of regular leaving some folks struggling to make ends meet.

"It's a V8 engine in this beast. Four wheel drive. It's getting like 13 miles to the gallon, I think. And I didn't get a raise at work in the past three months, so it's eating away my pocket. I was pretty sure Obama promised that gas prices wouldn't go back to the way they were. Looks like they're well on their way, don't you think?" said Phillip Nelson of Binghamton.

Phillip Nelson says his family now has to cut down on things like going out to dinner or the movies so they can pay for gas.
