Mother, Child Find Body at Park in Twn of Binghamton

A body was fished from a  pond at a local park Friday evening--
and among those witnessing the sad discovery--a little girl and her mother--
 
The body--of an adult male-- was found in the water at Aqua Terra Park  on Maxian Road in the Town of Binghamton--

Fox 40 was  the first  media at the scene, and we got the story directly from the Sheriff--and from the mother and daughter who were there:
"You know the subject depending on his age could've had a heart attack, he could have drowned, we don't know any of that at this point. We don't know how long he's been there. There's a lot of unanswered questions at this point," said Broome County Sheriff David Harder.
       
  "I brought my daughter up here to do fishing and show her how to go fishing. We got all the way to the other side of the lake, she threw her pole out and we saw a body. She thought it was one of those stuffed teddy bears and stuff, but then my boyfriend went and pulled it in and it was a dead body.
"How is she taking all of this?"
"I explained it to her, she's a little shaken up but she's alright now," said Sharon Mackey of Binghamton. 

The victim is described as a white male, medium height, black hair, military type crew cut, and a BULL DOG tatoo on his right shoulder area.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's Tip Line at 607-778-1196.
