FASNY Tuition Reimbursement Plan

A scholarship program is helping firefighters pursue an education.

Zachary Urda of Greene has been a volunteer fire fighter for the last four years.

The BCC student was selected for a college tuition reimbursement plan through the Fire Association of the State of New York.

The program is geared towards retaining and recruiting volunteers.

"I'm so grateful I can't even begin to describe how thankful I am to get this opportunity to get the tuition reimbursement," said Zachary Urda.

After Zach is finished with school at BCC he wishes to go on to become an EMT.
