Grand Opening of Spiedie Fest

They lined up anxiously awaiting for the gates to open to one of Binghamton's largest summer events, the Spiedie Fest.

"I just want to get inside its hot."

Friday the festival began its three day run at Otsiningo park.

This year organizers are expecting between 90 to hundred thousand people to come out and enjoy all that it has to offer.

"I can't wait to see the balloon launch and excited to the see the car show this weekend."

There was plenty of food and drink to choose from as well as some tasty desserts.

And for vendors Mike and Judy Farley of New Jersey it was their first time selling nitrogen ice cream in Binghamton's home town event.

"I've seen this about a year ago on the food channel.  I said I'd love to have an ice cream truck and I wanted something totally different from what everyone else has and we figured it out-liquid nitrogen ice cream," said Mike Farley a vendor at Spiedie Fest.

There's a little something for everybody, including music.

To train rides for the kids.
