Village of Owego Passes Gas Drilling Moratorium

The Village of Owego passed a one year moratorium on gas drilling at a meeting Monday night.

The vote was 5 in favor, one against, and one abstaining.

The moratorium covers natural gas and petroleum exploration, extraction and support activities such as construction sites, chemical storage, or pipelines.
