7/19/2012 (Updated 10:53:47 PM)
What do you get when you take a tennis tournament, a bunch of pasta, and a good cause?
A night of fun at Binghamton's Rec Park.
Tennis fans and pasta fans mixed and mingled at "Pastabilities With a Taste of Tennis."
The annual shindig held at the site of the LG&T Tennis Challenger is a benefit for The Discovery Center.
Guests could get their choice of pasta made to order by their choice of celebrity chef, like Jimmy Grey of the Binghamton University basketball team or Jim Weed, the General Manager of the B-Mets.
"It's great, all new faces, all wonderful people, all having a good time, and tremendous celebrities,....it's a great, great evening," said Pokey Crocker, Executive Director of The Discovery Center.
Crocker tells us while the event has been held for more than a decade, this year it sold out for the first time.
The Discovery Center is a hands-on museum for children and their families.
