Lawyers Paid With Campaign Funds, Libous Confirms

Tuesday night, during  his Telephone Town Meeting we  asked Senator Tom Libous about that alleged ethics probe involving his son's employment at downstate law firm that works with lobbyists.
 
Libous confirms that he's  spent campaign funds--which state law permits--  for legal  advice concerning a  possible ethics probe.
But he stands by previous statements that he had nothing to do with his son getting the  job with the law firm.

Libous blames Binghamton Mayor Matt Ryan, in part, for pushing for the probe--saying it was politically motivated.

At the time, Ryan indicated that he might run for Libous' seat.
