7/15/2012 (Updated 10:58:54 PM)"I take my mom up here every single year. We look forward to it. The summer is always full of festivals and this is our favorite festival to go to" said Owego resident Wesley Warren.
"Their grandparents were dancers, their great grandparents were dancers. they're already in the third generation born in the U.S. so it is important for them to feel a part of it. it they don't make it their own they are going to forget and leave the parish" said Father Teodor Czabala.
"It's just beautiful to keep it going for the younger generation and they're brought up with it and they'll keep it going."
"We have pirogi, halupki, kielbasa from New York City. we have Ukrainian beer and wine ice cream."
"I love kielbasa, pirogi, halupki, so we're here every year and we like to listen to the music and the dancers so it's a fun filled day."
"It's so wonderful that we have these festivals each year and my mom was worried that with each year we would lose the tradition, but we haven't. each year we have a good time, great turnout. it rained and lightninged today and look at the place. it's packed."
