Binghamton Native Pleads Guilty to Rape

A Binghamton native has pleaded guilty to raping a 59-year-old woman last year.

Prosecutors say 21-year-old Rayshawn Norris raped the woman at a Pine Street Apartment in December of 2010.

In March, Norris was arrested in Alabama after investigators determined that his DNA was a match with evidence found at the scene.

Norris is expected to be sentenced in October to 11-and-a-half years in prison, with 20 years post-release supervision.
