Highland Park 4th of July Preparations

Celebrating the Fourth at Highland Park is a Southern Tier tradition!

Tuesday vendors and staff were busy setting up for the big day.

Folks can enjoy the holiday while munching on a variety of foods, enjoying music from local bands, and taking in some Irish step dancing!

Town of Union Deputy Supervisor Rose Sotak says she is expecting a record crowd.

"It's in the middle of the week.  So that's one reason we think it's going to be big.  And, we are the only show in town.  The BMets will not be performing their fireworks tomorrow night, and along with the weather conditions, gas prices, we're expecting a record breaking crowd.  And we're ready for it!" said Town of Union Deputy Supervisor Rose Sotak.

The festivities start at 7:00am with an Adult and Youth Triathlon and the big show-- the fire works are expected to start at 9:30 pm.
