Mayor: Floral Park Pool Could be Open By Thursday Afternoon

Wednesday was a perfect day to go swimming, but the Floral Park Pool in Johnson City was still closed.

The pool was shut after chlorine levels got out of control earlier this month, sending several kids to the hospital.

Mayor Greg Deemie says if paperwork can be completed in time the pool may be open by 4:00PM Thursday.

In Vestal the Memorial Pool opened early Wednesday morning at 8:00AM.

The pool will follow the same schedule Thursday.

Normally when school is in session the pool doesn't open until 4:00PM.
