Vietnam Vets Hold Annual Bass Fishing Tournament
6/17/2012 (Updated 10:48:59 PM)
The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 896 held its 10th annual bass tournament this weekend. Participants could fish anywhere on the Susquehanna River in Broome County.
They could weigh in three fish per day and the winners were decided by the total weight of their catches. There were plenty of raffles including a chance to win a kayak.
"My pride is for these guys that go out here and do the fishing and they're able to go out and find them and they're able to catch them and the more weight we bring in, the better it looks for future years." said Tournament Organizer Ken Joseck.
The winner of the tournament receives 600 dollars, 300 dollars goes to second place winner and third place takes home 100 dollars.
