Motorcycle Crash in Conklin

CONKLIN -- A motorcyclist is seriously injured after colliding with a farm tractor in Conklin Wednesday night.

The crash occurred on Banta Road, and caused the motorcyclist to be taken by helicopter to Wilson Hospital.

The Conklin Fire Chief said around 7:45 the victim rode over the hill and passed a flagger who was signalling that the tractor was working on the side of the road.

The motorcyclist actually laid his bike down, but could not stop himself from sliding into the tractor.

A second motorcycle operator traveling on the same road was not involved in the accident.  The road was closed off as a number of ambulances and the Conklin Fire Department responded to the accident.
