Pastor Prays for Return of Wreaths

Two little blue silk flowers are all that is left of the twin wreathes that once graced the entrance of New Heights Ministries Church.

Monday afternoon Bishop Larry Simpson discovered someone stole them right off the doors.

Since the church sits in a prominent location, the corner of Front and Riverside, the floral wreathes were intended to help welcome people as they cross the bridge and enter the West Side.

"This is God's house. When you steal from a person, it's just a person, but when you steal from a church you are literally stealing from God's house, says Simpson."

While Simpson says that he can forgive whoever took the wreathes, it would be nice to just get them back.

"I'm a bishop, I'm a Christian, I have to forgive."
