The Broome County Right to Life Committee is trying to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to build a pregnancy resource center in Vestal.
The group has already bought a building at 155 Front Street but needs between $225,000 and $250,000 to design and rebuild the facility. 375 people attended a fundraiser at Brothers Two in Endwell tonight.
"The Pregnancy Resource Center will offer young women the opportunity to come in and hear about the options they have available for their baby. They'll be able to get certain types of counselling. They'll be able to get mentoring classes. They'll be able to come in and have free pregnancy testing," said Jeff Felice, Chairman of the Banquet for Hope.
Felice says the group would ultimately like to be able to offer free ultrasounds as well.
