Johnson City Choir Takes First Place In Competition
5/27/2012 (Updated 10:48:53 PM)Members of the Johnson City High School Choir have plenty of reason to celebrate.
They've just returned from a singing competition in Williamsburg, Virginia where they competed against 4 other high schools and another music choir.
The J-C Choir took home first place awards for the Best Music Choir and first place in the Overall Competition. One member also took top honors for Outstanding Vocals.
"I was really nervous but I pulled through and it was just really ya know...it felt great that all of our hard work and I don't know it just felt great to get an award" said Choir Member Kate Kreidler.
"It was amazing because with this trophy here our legends going to be on display at the JC High School for years. It's amazing" said Choir Member Jimmy Francis.
The Seniors who are on the choir say the experience was especially gratifying because its nice to go out with a bang.
