One Dead In PA Crash On Rt. 187 - 7/28/2010

Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda are reporting that 20 year old Andrea L. Turner was killed in a two car head-on crash on Rt. 187 in Asylum Township.  Police responded to the call at 3:23 PM, Wednesday.
Turner was pronounced dead at the scene. 
A juvenile passanger riding with Turner in a child safety seat sustained minor injuries.  The juvenile was air-evacuated to Guthrie Medical Center.
The driver of the other car, Johnie R. Holder was not injured.  Holder, whose age was not given by authorities, was using a lap and shoulder belt. 
Police say the deceased was not using safety devices.  The accident is under investigation.

GRAND ISLE, La. – An offshore petroleum platform exploded and was burning Thursday in the Gulf of Mexico about 80 miles off the Louisiana coast, west of the site where BP's undersea well spilled after a rig explosion.
