Man Convicted of Metro Center Parking Lot Assault - 7/28/2010

A conviction Wednesday, following an assault back in May in the Metro Center parking lot.

It happened the night of May 15th, during an altercation between 2 groups of young men.

28 year old Dante Baugh of Binghamton was charged with assault for causing serious physical injury by stomping on the head of 25 year-old Daniel Fabre, after the victim was knocked to the ground.

Baugh is now convicted of second degree assault. He's in Broome County Jail, awaiting sentencing on October 8th.

GRAND ISLE, La. – An offshore petroleum platform exploded and was burning Thursday in the Gulf of Mexico about 80 miles off the Louisiana coast, west of the site where BP's undersea well spilled after a rig explosion.
