Wescott Toxicology Testimony - 7/28/2010
Forensic toxicologist Dr. Donald Hoffman testified that Wescott's blood alcohol content was .14 percent two days after her death. Hoffman says the combination of alcohol, cocaine, a sedative, and an anti-psychotic drug also found in her blood were enough to impair someone, but couldn't say for sure if it could have been that mix that killed her and not an attack by Kenyon.
Jurors heard testimony yesterday that Kenyon drank about 25 beers in the hours leading to Wescott's death. Hoffman says Kenyon's blood alcohol content could have been as high as .3 percent at the end of that time. He says it could've caused impaired judgment, which the defense suggests might have led him to falsely confess to killing Wescott.
Testimony is expected to wrap up Thursday in Broome County Court.
